Barcelona based, Italian artist, Lorenzo Quinn grew up in an artistic environment, being the fifth son of famous Hollywood actor Anthony Quinn. Influenced by this environment, Quinn studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in New York, focusing on surrealist painting but he eventually discovered his true inclination in sculpture.
Inspired by the impeccable sculptors like Michelangelo, Bernini and Rodin, Quinn’s work is widely recognized in the artistic circles, has been exhibited internationally and can be found in galleries, public and private collections around the world. According to the Halcyon Gallery which represents many of his works, he is best known for expressive recreations of human hands that according to him they are the most powerful part of human body and the most technically challenging.
His anthropocentric sculptures are absolutely powerful and he truly is one of the most talented sculptors of his generation. Below you will find a small selection of Quinn’s incredible sculptures.
