US State Department Creates Illustrations Depicting Differences Between British And American English

Americans and British both speak English, and while most words remain the same there are a few differences that could potentially confuse both parts. In order to help English speakers from all over the world not to be lost in translation, the US State Department created these useful and funny illustrations that picture key differences between British and American English.

The English language originated as early as the mid-5th century, and has since been spread to a number of countries. Over the years, there have been many alterations and adaptations, creating unique differentiations in the English all around the world.
